From Interstate 95 North or South take exit 2A (in Massachusetts), Route 1A South Newport Avenue. As you exit the interstate, you will see a large shopping complex on the left side (Home Depot, Olive Garden, K-Mart, etc). Proceed South on 1A (Newport Ave) over a railroad track bridge immediately after exiting the interstate. At the bottom of the bridge you will cross from MA into Pawtucket, RI. Proceed South on Newport Ave (Route 1A) for about 2 miles. The entrance to Slater Park will be located on the left side of Newport Avenue. If you are using a map system, the nearest landmark is 358 Newport Ave, Pawtucket RI 02861, which is St. Teresa's School (across the street from the Park).
As you pull into the park you will see baseball fields located on the right. The softball fields are behind the baseball fields. There is plenty of parking along the street and inside the parking lot. |

Follow Rt. 295 to exit 7A, merge onto PUTNAM PIKE/US-44. Turn left at the first traffic light (ESMOND St). Follow to stop sign, turn left onto RI-104/WATERMAN Ave. Take an immediate right onto WHITMAN St and follow to the stop sign. Take a left onto LINCOLN St, then an immediate right onto FENWOOD Ave. Follow to the stop sign, go straight then take an immediate left into the park. Whipple field 2 is to the right nearest the concession stand. Whipple 3 is to the left. Whipple 4 is at the end of the parking lot.

Take Rt. 295 to the HARTFORD AVE/RI-101-6A/US-6 exit. Take a right onto Rt. 6/HARTFORD Ave. Follow 0.8 miles to the traffic light (RESERVOIR AVE) Take a left and follow app 1 mile, WOODLAKE PARK will be on your left. There is a small sign for JOHNSTON GIRLS SOFTBALL at the entrance. The field to the left after entering the parking lot is the one that is being used for the state tournament.

Take Rt. 295 North towards Woonsocket, follow 8.2 miles then take the US-6 exit 6 A-B-C toward Hartford, CT/Providence. Follow 1.1 mile then take the US-6 west exit toward Foster. Take a right onto HARTFORD Ave, then follow 1.1 miles to the traffic light at RESERVOIR Ave, then follow directions above to the park. |
